Happy July 4th!

Since we will be in LA for July 4th, Scout and I wanted to say Happy July 4th! We will be open still, but I cant wait for the beach!

LA here we come!

I am so excited because Ryan and I are going to Los Angeles on Thursday to spend the 4th with one of my favorite people, Hadley Hughes, and her new Fiance, Greg!  Hadley has just opened a cooking studio, The Gourmandise School of Sweets and Savories, I cannot wait to see it. 

I have never been to LA, so I have been doing a ton of research about great places to shop. And now that I am obsessed with Million Dollar Decorators on Bravo, I have to go to Nathan Turners shop ASAP!

I have also been following the blog Velvet & Linen for quiet sometime now so I will definitely have to stop by their shop.  I know I wont get to see everything so recommendations are much appreciated!

Great Ideas for Small Spaces

Having lived in a tiny house for years, I instantly was drawn to this article.  If you haven't flipped through a Canadian House and Home Magazine, you should.  The article that caught my attention was called "Hidden Assets".

Notice the floorplan in the bottom right corner.  I love how they used the Murphy Bed: the wood they used, painting the interior back wall a different color and the nook on the right side, perfect for whatever book your reading and an alarm clock.  This alone shows that small spaces can hold a lot of stuff.

Send me your solutions for small spaces.  My renovation helped a little bit but with two big dogs and a husband, things still get a little tight.
